actually he wants to unlock it so he can use any phone carrier besides at&t, i know couple of people did that already and worked so , the only down fall that certain features that at&t offers for the iphone may not be equipped to handle from other phone carriers. Thanks. Yes it is not far that I would have to sign a 2 year contract with AT&T when AT&T is not even in my area. So I want to unlock it so I can use something else instead of crappy AT&T.

It's kind like they try to control who uses the iPhone or not.
