I had a gateway machine that was 'made for XP.' After a couple years and a boost in ram I decided to try Vista on it. It was Vista Pro. I do mainly web and graphic work and all my software was PC based.

Installation of Vista went ok but the OS seemed to always be fighting itself for resources. Plus my video card didn't match up to the 'Vista Experience' and I had a score of 1 on the stupid vista experience chart.

Long story shortm I sold my PC and bought a Mac. I love OS X and it connects to my laptop without hassle. I can run XP inside OSX so I can run my obscure SEO software and life is good.

No viruses, better security, and an OS and hardware that are made for eachother.
