Right Column Break
I have a recent install of vbulletin. Image attached. how do I go about fixing the problem with the right column breaking to the right. Is their a way for vbulletin to adjust no matter how big the page is

i would make the first column as wide as the 2nd column. if your board is fixed-width, just make sure the 3 columns, including space between, dont overrun that width. if its a fluid-width board, make sure they are percentages, like 15%, 15%, 70% (play around to take into account the spaces between the columns)
as a personal touch, i'd move one of the columns to the right-side of the board, so there is a column on both sides instead of 2 on 1 side. |

Don't believe 2 sidebars and a bit is going to fit in such a confined space, and the content will be reduced to navigation and ads. That won't be friendly for members, trying to read their email in a small box.
TIP: Friendliest navigation is on the right side by the scrollbar. Higher the resolution of a monitor, longer the mouse play to just reach the links to anywhere. Left side navigation wasn't a problem when standard resolution was 640x480, but the standard now is 1024x768, with 1440px wide LCDs becoming more popular. Reducing the mouseplay helps your members to do more, and hang around to post more, too. |
