Default post counts changing randomly!???

Recently a few of my members post count have jumped from in the 4000's to the 4millions! and it seems a bit suspicious since these are members that have left the site on bad terms to be on a new site about a year back ....is there a hack floating around that can do this to your post count? or is it an inside job..meaning a supermod that went in and changed them..or is it just some weird vbulletin bug thats happened before? any suggestion on how i can get to the bottom of this would be appreciated. I mean i know post counts may go down when you move stuff to forums that dont count posts..like our "graveyard" where we put dead threads....but I have never seen a post count go up without a supermod or admin changing it in the mod UCP...

Have you looked in your moderator logs to see if your moderators were modifying a user's profile?

Are you running the latest version of VB ? there is (was) a bug a few versions back that allowed this to be done.

OH REALLY..cause it just happened again today..I am running Version 3.6.3

Its not any of my Mods changing it. Ive looked into the Mod logs.

Even if it doesn't fix the issue, it's worth upgrading to the latest version.

can anyone PM me about how this is possible for someone to do because its really freaking me out that someone is able to change my post counts and i cant do anything about it! ...i have a list of suspects...like i said before... we had a falling out about a year ago with about 5-10 people...and so Id like to fugure out WHO is doing this so I can call them out on it...I cant do the upgrade until this weekend and Ive changed all their post counts back to 0 2xs yesterday..only to find today they have upped them back to 4 million! IT is driving me crazy to say the least! Ive banned all their accounts last night ...and they were still able to somehow change the post counts back...[confused??????]

Make sure if you have a control panel or phpMyAdmin to access your database that it is htaccess protected. You said that nothing is showing up in the Moderator logs, so if someone is manually doing it, they have to go in and do it to the database. So, change your passwords to your server if you had given them out and also make sure you have htaccess enabled for direct access to the database.
