Default Why are unlicensed users' questions locked...

specifically in the vBulletin Pre-Sales Questions forum section? i mean, of course the majority of users may be unlicensed. they're trying to find out info prior to a purchase of the vB software; hence the PRE-SALES questions. sometimes this forums' staff makes no sense to me. rather then just lock their threads, why not just answer them or get rid of the forum. what else would be it's purpose?

ahhh, nevermind... i guess you guys saw what i saw and are now letting the guy ask his question.

Pre-Sales questions are not locked.

Threads asking for vBulletin or modification support are.

well, at the time this thread was created, a pre-sales question WAS locked and then it was unlocked which is why i asked, and then later updated my post. just an FYI.

Actually, the thread you see now was never locked.

There was a question that read nothing more then a support question asking for a modification that was locked.

After the the threadstarter created a new duplicate of that thread, but changed his wording to show that he was only asking if it would be possible. As it was now a duplicate thread, the first thread was deleted.

PS I don't understand why we have to discuss this at all. Please be assured that the moderators do everything to keep things running as smooth as possible.

We don't have to discuss this at all; hence the following...

can i ?!

can i ??

damn, where is that " close thread " button ?!

curiously, i don't see why you asked at first... do you plan on rating the pre-sales service here?!... most of the time, i can say 95% of the time, we - regular member - have nothing to do in that section... and you complain about closed threads.... tsss... seriously, i would like to see more than just arguements here...

and yes this is my 2¢, a completely useless one!
