Goldbrick Media system for vBulletin 3.6.x
Thanks to all who nominated or voted this for MOTM.
Some of you might be looking for Anymedia. Well this has replaced it. It's a total rewrite from the ground up. A huge thanks goes to Sir Adrian for creating the framework. He can't cook soup but he sure can code.
Why the name goldbrck?
From Wikipedia:
Quote:
Goldbricking, in today's terms, generally refers to staff who use their work internet access for personal reasons while maintaining the appearance of working.
From Urban Dictionary:
Quote:
Goldbricking: To loaf or goof around on the job. Supposedly an old union term describing laborers (or more specifically, bricklayers) who were going so slow, it was as if each brick were made of solid gold. One can alse be referred to as a "goldbricker".
Dude, I spent all day at work goldbricking - surfing the web, making long distance phone calls - basically just picking my ass.

Yeah this is pretty bad. And now when I try to revert to 3.0.8.1 by overwriting all of the files and overwriting the xml it doesn't respond to anything I have done. The FTP files are the old versions and the XML shows up correctly in the AdminCP, but all of the posts still show up using the 3.0.9 version and any settings I save are lost...
Well I figured out why when I reverted the errors still occured. I had to edit the post and resubmit it for the error to go away. It seems that it parses the bbcode once when it is submitted and then uses that for all of the posts, even once the bbcode is updated later on down the road.
I only figured that out once I uninstalled the plugin, and deleted the files and the media was still showing up. I had to manually edit the post for the tags to appear instead of the post being parsed. I am not sure if that is by design, but I sure hope not. It has caused quite a headache on my end. Just hope it gets fixed soon, we use the media code a lot.
Dailymotion changed the way they embed so its kind of a pain. I'm looking for a fix.
You can't embed non flash files with putfile. Some of their videos are other codecs. I can't even see an embed tag. If someone can get me one I'll look into it.
