Default Making New Version of VB Look like a blog frontend?

I'm wish to start a "group blogging" site, where I have scores of approved bloggers, blogging about a particular topic. Each blogger will have his own "blog" (his own blog name, stream of comments, ability to have readers subscribe to just his blog, etc).

I see that this is coming (shortly?) to vb. However, the screenshots I saw still feel like a forum. I'd like the front end at least to feel more like a blog, with aggregated entries from the various bloggers showing up. I'd also like to be able to design it so it is more attractive, a cleaner "blog-like" look.

I'm looking at Wordpress MU and some CMS systems. But would I be able to do as I requested above with the new version of vb coming out? Is this what vbadvanced and and similar software does for it? And will these work right away with the new blogging functions?

the only viable blog system available actually is vBlogetin, and it use the same exact boring templates than vBulletin itself... it's all up to you to remodel the templates to look your own.

the next vBulletin Blog system will look like the forum, because it's an addition to the forum, not a blog system...

I've seen vblogetin and I like the look of it, I don't think it looks like vb. But, maybe that's just the front end. But, anyway, I see that the author has not posted in six months so I don't feel secure about using it.

BTW, just how much can I change the format of vb, with just it of other portal modules? Any example of sites that don't even look close to the original vb?

Also, to clarify, it's not a new version of vbulletin, but a new plug-in for it. Just an official one.

Errrr, six months? SirAdrian is the coder of it, search for that username here, I'm sure it's not six months.

Anything that can be achieved with PHP, HTML, CSS and JS can be done.

the vBlogetin version on the official website have a different style because SirAdrian invested time to create a real style for it... but the default version is vBulletin mimic...

and the author itself is not posting because there is no development anymore... i suppose their version is stable enough for them...
