Searching Multiple Scripts (Store, Forum, Other) with Single Form
Hi all,
I have a problem and I've been scouring Google looking for answers but can't find any. Basically, my site contains three main areas: a store, a VB forum, and a large downloads system. I would like to put a simple search form on all of my pages that would allow users to select where they want to search from a drop-down menu. Then have a text box to enter the search query, and a "search" button. I want to use the existing search functionalities of the three "areas" to accomplish this. In other words, if they choose "forum" from the drop-down, I want to use VBulletin's built in search functionality to perform the search. I know it's possible to, for example, put a "search forum" search box on a non-forum page, so I think what I want to do is possible, I'm just stuck on how to code it. Can anyone help or point me in the right direction? Thanks a lot in advance. |

I think Zoom search engine is your best bet: http://www.wrensoft.com/zoom/
