FAQ Viewable according to usergroup
I can't find anything like this, but it would be extra helpful, if there was a way to make certain faq items only viewable by certain usergroups. So I could do FAQs for my moderators on policies, procedures, etc. And other FAQs for certain usergroups. ya know.
If I'm missing something that already does this I'd love a shove in the right direction! Thanks for considering this project! |

I'm going to go post this on vb.com too, that way if I missed something they can show me the right direction.
ETA: Their answer was to search over here Barnacles. |

basically, giving global access to the whole FAQ would be easy... but if you want each section to be seperate for each usergroup you select, this would bring some more code... i can suggest that instead of using the main FAQ system, you create a forum of FAQs and you have sub-forums for each usergroups you want to manage... each of these forums would display the faqs for these groups only...

I'm trying to avoid making the forum index any longer since it is already obscene. I was hoping to make use of the faq feature in that attempt. It appears I shall be thwarted though. I am thinking I might just install a wiki on a subdomain or something instead.
