The proxies that I've seen banned users use all resolve to China and Russia, so it might? It depends where the proxy resides, I'm guessing. I don't know if there are any open proxies in the US, if there are then they could still use those. I looked at the product that fixingtheweb offers and you can select which countries to allow and which countries to not allow. Thinking about banning pretty much every middle eastern country, china, russia, ukraine, turkey, etc. Friendly countries will be left alone and allowed through.

there are more than enough 100% anonymous proxies all over the world, locking out "countries" is useless.

I'm figuring locking out the countries coupled with https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthrea...xy+real&page=3 would be an efficient method. That way people who don't use proxies are blocked, and people who use proxies are blocked likewise.

Is it really cruel when I host a regional website meant for people in one state in the US to be visiting? I mean sure, the more hits the better, but at the same time I can't say I'd feel bad for anyone in China or Russia that can't view my site. 98% of the people from China and Russia viewing my site are spammers or hackers, anyway.
