On my board i am seeing the order as posts as the newest post in a thead appears at the top. I would like to know how to change this..

I have tried the 'acending' decending' in the forum options however this isnt making a difference.

please help

For thread sorting, you have to edit each forum you have and on top of the edit page, you have "Default Sort Field" and "Default Sort Order"...

this is not a default setting across forums, so you have to edit all your forums you want to change.

do you guys know how to take "homepage" out of user profiles?

Its not thread sorting, its the posts within the threads which are sorting in the wrong order..

Ive tried all the settings for each forum to no avail

Check your settings under Admin CP > vBulletin Options > Threaded / Hybrid Mode Options (showthread) . I have the first two options set to No and No. Are yours?
