Does vBulletin have this option, to make forum access by certificates?
Or this can be done by some other software? I saw couple forum that using this certificates to access forum, but not sure what kind of forum they have, its either vBulletin or Invision Power Board Thanks |

It is possible with some tweaking, but don't you think that's taking it a little far?

Well, I don't think it's taken too far. vBulletin is quite safe, but very sensitive data can't be protected good enough. At least that accounts for access-protection using certificates. Having read gonzo_'s request twice, I'm not sure wether or not he's asking for a way to authenticate to the vB accounts unsing a certificate. That idd would be taken a bit too far o_O

Yes, i found more info about this, i guess it doesn't have to do anything with vB ? or i am wrong?
It's a SSL certificates, that user will get to access a forum, where they will be asked to enter their password, and then he will see the actual forum with login form and other stuff It's makes accesing to forum only for those who have installed this SSL certificate, for others is not accessible |
