I did see some "overflow: hidden" in the stylesheet and wondered if that was it -- I'm going to mess with that and see if it doesn't fix it.

All right, it's not the overflow and I now see it's just an IE issue, and doesn't happen in FireFox. I'll be happy to PM the link and a user login to someone if they think they can help. I've been messing with it for hours with no luck. ???
