Embedded media player that does not allow song download?
I run a vBulletin 3.6.2 forum for local music artists where they can communicate with their fan base, upload MP3s for their fans to hear, etc. The problem is, most of these artists don't want to post MP3s where everyone can download them instead of buying their CD. Instead they are linking off my site to their MySpace pages or similar where they can post content without everyone having the ability to download the songs.
I'd like to see an embedded media player that does not allow for downloading the media. All of the embedded media players I've seen in the Mod forums here still leave the link below the media player where a reader can right click and Save Target As. Anyone have a hack that will remove the link but still play the media file? The closest I've seen is the "Link and Download Manager" add-on, but it requires going to a separate PHP page to hear the MP3s. I'd like the player to be inline on the thread where the poster can use the "Manage Attachments" button to upload media. Thanks in advance!
