I tried installing it on my computer on an empty hard drive i had laying around. I got the blue screen of death after the initial installation.

Not good at all. Supposedly it was due to my Realtek 97' on board audio.

I will probably stay away from Vista for the next while until everything becomes compatible or i get a newer system.
