I've been reorganizing my forum's usergroup a bit in order to make it somewhat more semantical/logical, I've found one problem so far though;
When I use the promotions system to promote my users after x posts towards an extra (additional!) usergroup, 'group2', there is no way to configure what usergroup should be used as display group. The reason I'm trying to find a way to change this is that I'm using a secondary usergroup that only has a couple of different permissions, but should receive another username color/title/group showing up in posts. Can anyone tell me if this is possible in any way or point me in the right direction (in case of a modification) how I could change this to suit my wishes? Thanks in advance! |

You need to set that usergroup to overide the primary displaygroup title and markup. You can also set up a rank to display a secondary title, icon or such.

Thanks for your quick reply. I've also set it like that, however, when vBulletin promotes a user with a secondary usergroup it keeps the old usergroup set as 'display usergroup', which is causing this trouble. I haven't found a way go get around that yet sadly.
