This style was developed by my firm Epic Designz as a promotional tool for a new site called YourIndex. This style is free to be used on any forum provided that you retain the small promotional message in the footer (We made it as unobtrusive as possible.) The package includes the full set of PSD's, so you can make changes to suit your board or apply the same layout to non-vBulletin portions of your site. If there are any problems with the style, please report them to me in this thread, so I can get them resolved as quickly as possible.

I've been creating a website around this excellent style but am having a few problems with some pages displaying correctly. They work fine with the default style, but not with the Epic style. So I'm wondering if anyone can help me with editing the code of this hack to display the pages right.
As you can see here: http://www.bluedragons.co.uk/forums/?styleid=3 the pages load up fine (had a problem with a forum without a category, but read somewhere else in this thread about fixing that) Now my problem is with this YAAS hack that otherwise works fine apart from 2 pages: http://www.bluedragons.co.uk/forums/awards.php (displays fine) but if you click on one of the awards like here: http://www.bluedragons.co.uk/forums/...ard&award_id=2 the page is all shrunken to the left. I expect this is something to do with it not having a top level category like on the forums error. Also happens here: http://www.bluedragons.co.uk/forums/...php?award_id=2 Is there anything I can include in the templates/php pages that I can do to fix these 2 pages from being corrupted? I would imagine I could put in some code to replicate the top level category to make the page work right but wouldn't have a clue where to start. username/pass is test/test if you want to have a look. I know this isn't a support forum for the YAAS hack, but this does work with the default style so can only guess it is a style/template problem. Someone please help. |

I'm still having problems on these 2 pages:
http://www.bluedragons.co.uk/forums/...ard&award_id=2 http://www.bluedragons.co.uk/forums/...php?award_id=2 View Award, and Request Award... Can anyone here please point me in the right direction to fixing these? Fixed: on the 2 above pages the template had added extra table closing tags at the bottom which were replicated in the footer code. |

Hello,
I installed this beautiful style in my forum, everything works ok in the forum pages but in the vBadvanced main page the top part of the page appears broken. Check it yourself at: http://www.sportriding.gr/ The forum pages as I said are ok: http://www.sportriding.gr/forum/ I tried to fix issue according to this: Quote:
Can you please help by taking a look at my site and tell me what else should I check? Thanks PS. Thank you very much for the template, its one of the best I've seen! |

I had to edit a bit the style's header. I compared the "right" forums appearance with the erroneous vBadvanced home page and found out which images where missing form the vBadvanced page. They were "navigation_right.gif" and "header_bg.gif". Then I found them in the header and entered the full path of the images. So it seems that links in the header (or footer I suppose) in the form of src="$vboptions[bburl]/images/epic/header_left.gif" are functioning ok but links in the form of url(/images/epic/header_bg.gif); Need to have the full path in to work ok. Anyway, issue fixed and thanks again for a wonderful style! |

[QUOTE=stako;1141556]Issue fixed and you can't imagine how happy I am!
I had to edit a bit the style's header. [QUOTE] You may wish to do the same for collapse_tcat.gif as that's not showing for me on your page, just showing a broken image which is distorting your header. The current link is: Code:
http://www.sportriding.gr/images/epic/buttons/collapse_tcat.gif Code:
http://www.sportriding.gr/forum/images/epic/buttons/collapse_tcat.gif |

I suppose you are talking about http://www.sportriding.gr and not http://www.sportriding.gr/forum which is ok, right? As far as I know there are two places in the admin panel that should have the full path: 1. Under "Site name / URL / Contact details", "Forum URL", this is ok. 2. Under "vBa CMPS", "Default Settings", CMPS URL, also ok. Is there any other that I should look for??? Could this have something to do with hotlinking that I have disabled in my host? Unfortunately I did not had any luck with editing the header or footer because I cannot find any instances of the broken images. I found only one for "collapse_tcat.gif" but changing it to full path did not have any effect. I am attaching 2 images: 1. Epic style in Firefox: 2. Epic style in IE6: Andrew any ideas? Thanks PS. I am using now the "Blaze" style as default also created by Andrew, I'm having the same issues with that too. PS2. I checked by FTP and the images are in the correct path, for instance "http://www.sportriding.gr/images/epic/misc/navbits_start.gif" is there! BUT if I try to open with IE (or Firefox) I get a "Not Found" page.......... Is this a hint that hotlinking is to blame??? |
