Subscription problem
Posted this over on vbulletin.com and am not seeing a response. Sorry for the double-post, but I'm running out of time for a deadline and am beginning to panic.
For all I know this could actually be a "How do I" type question, as I'm still learning how to use this feature. After turning on Paid Subscriptions in the Admin CP, I (as a test user) can see the Subscription link in User CP, but am then taken to a page which says: Code:
testuser, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons: 1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system? 2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation. This happens with the member group checked or unchecked for the above test account. I'm not totally clear on the process, but my understanding is users should generally be able to request access to the associated user group (if that feature is turned on, which it is in my case), OR the admins can assign the users directly if they so choose. Same problem for my own account which has full administrative permissions. Tried full cycle of adding user to group, saving, removing user from group, saving, having user try to join, failing, adding user to subscription, saving, and so on and so on. Permissions error across the board. |
