Mysql transfer
Guys, Girls...
I'm using 3.5.4 atm but I have a test site with 3.6.3 Ive been able to transfer members and threads via IMPEX but I'd like to also transfer over some extra registration fields and the award system fields onto the new mysql database. I'm no mysql-king so can someone explain how I can transfer this info over please?? MANY thanks Dooch |

Can you use impex to go from your new 3.6.3 back down to 3.5.4
then take that database and upgrade it to 3.6.3 |

yeah I could I guess, not thought of that...
EDIT Ive looked into this but Id rather copy the tables from the old database and put them in the new.... Is this possible or is it suggested to use the old database and upgrade? Thanks |

If there isnt any important data on your new database, simply upgrade your old one to 3.6.3.
There isnt any beneift of selecting tables to export over other ones. But if you have PhpMyAdmin it can easily be done using their standard export feature, simply select the table you want exported. Then go into your new database and import that file it gives. This is probably the easiest way |
