Report Dead Link In Post
Just wondering if anyone knows if something likes this exists, where a link is posted up, but dies and anyone viewing the post that finds the link dead can report it as such or would it really only work with report Post option?
Thank you.. |

how would you want it to be different from the Report Post feature?

Possibly to the point of it creating a new post stating that the link is dead, therefore allowing mods/admin to move/delete.

The report post lnk is freeform, so the user can type whatever they want. So they can enter "Broken Link".

Yep I understand that, I was more after the posting of a post after the report had been sent, but as GT mentions, it is available..

ah yes, i'm not sure when they implemented that, maybe 3.6.2 - but you can designate a forum in which a thread can be created for any reported post. it's kinda cool. we've been using it for a while now on one of my forums. i have a separate Admin Alerts forum set up for these types of things. then my staff will pop in and take care of whatever once a new thread is created. works well for infraction notices too.
