When I looked at your forum, all I could see was Dog House which is not usually a good place to be in. I think it might help to follow the title with an apt description - if not people will think it's a place that bad sites go.

I'm going to look around some more.

I just signed up and posted my forum. If people know they can promote their sites, you'll be busy in no time. But, I suggest it's really important to let people know that they can do that.
Try something like:
"DogHouse - The message board for forums. Promote your Community"
Use in your page Title as well.
