PM override for moderators and admins?
Our staff is wondering if there is a plugin or modification for vB 3.6 we can install that will let all the moderators and administrators send PMs to members that have that ability turned off. We need this override to contact members at times. I thought I'd seen such a modification here, but have tried numerous searches with no luck. *sigh* Has anything like this been written yet?

The point is that we want to be able to send and receive PMs regardless of whether or not the member has PMs activated. In other words, regular registered users would see that he is not accepting PMs, but PMs from the staff should get through regardless of the setting.
As it stands now, we have to make sure an admin is online to turn on the PM privileges, send the PM, then wait for the member to respond and turn off his PMs again. Mods and admins should not be blocked from sending PMs to members, in other words, even if the setting is turned off. Since people can block our e-mails, this is our only recourse. |
