New transplant from PHPBB2
I just transferred my forums over to VB today, and love VB..simply awesome. I am a bit overwhelmed with all the setup and customization and was hoping to get some input on a few things.
1. Mods- I would like to have a image hosting solution. In PHPBB you could use small mods like "Simple image upload, imageshack, etc for users to link images in their posts....what program do you recommend? an additional mod to handles resizing images would be important too A file attachment mod...I don't know if we'll use it, but just in case. PHPBB had RSS mods....One that we used to generate an RSS feed of the last 10-15 forum posts on the site mainpage, I definitely need this. On the opposite site, we had a program that would take external RSS feeds and insert them into specific forums (like deals at newegg, reviews from other websites, etc) 2. Templates- Templating is a lot different, I found today that with VB 3.6.1, that you cannot use templates from older versions 9I ran into some issues with templates from 3.5.4, etc.....How hard is it to adjust templates to work with my site? All I care about is one light and one dark template anyway, thanks for any input you give, I really appreciate it. http://forums.hardwarelogic.com |

vBulletin has built in message attachments (unlimited per message, if you so choose), and also has RSS built in. Take a look through the on-line manual.
