Board Upgrade
I'm currently running vB3.01 (yeah I know it's old :P) and want to upgrade to the latest version. I have plenty of mods installed (50+) and I realise that most of these won't work after I've performed the upgrade.
As most ofthe current mods won't work, doesn't it make sense to completely re-install vB as they'll be loads of other php files that contain code modification and would probably cause problems / slow the website down (a problem I'm already experiencing). If that's the case, what would be the easiest way to do a re-installation? Would I install a brand new copy and then import the threads / posts or is there a simpler way? |

You could do as suggested above and upload all the fresh 3.5.4 files, point them at your existing database and then go through the upgrade procedure - but there are a lot of steps from 3.0.1 to 3.5.4 - you have to go through every intermediate version (inc beta's & RC's). |
