find out when subscription is up for renewal

Hiya,

The other day I came accross this thread:

Its proved really useful because I've started doing trial membership on the site.

What would be really cool is if I could have something which says how long until re-newal for those that have purchased a subscription. Any ideas?

Im guessing its just a case of changing the "joindate" variable to something else, but what?

Did you see the second set of instructions in that thread called Inform active trials of how long they have left? This can be used for all usergroups, and so will work to tell how long remaining memberships have got left. The conditional is used to only show the message if the time left is less than x hours/days.

Nah doesnt work. It looks at the joindate and then works out the math, rather than looking at the date subscription started, and is due to end. Does that make sense?

So if I use that code for those that have subscribed, it says something like -577 (minus xx days left), depending how long they've been a member for.

The code above is only useful for new users who sign up. Stick them in a group and then using the "promotion" tool to de-promote them into another group after XX days.
