postbit and postbit_legacy are templates regarding the post area (where you read the text and avatars) The postbit are you see here is called postbit_legacy if your site uses the one with the avatar one top thats called the postbit template

You need to setup a usergroup called supporters for instance, then set up their subscription when a user donates they get moved to that group.

Then you need to add a tempalte conditional to whatever template you wish to use and place your add code inside of that.
