I've wanted a pet snake for some time, however, I've yet to be able to bring one in because I don't really have the room, plus I'd want it in a large tank and that takes even more room!

They make nice pet's though, just don't anger them or forget to feed them. A friend of mine ended up having his latched on to him because it was hungry and mistook his 2 fingers for a meal (seriously).

He ended up ok, though he was a little shook up from having the snake grab hold.

They're really not that bad as long as you don't give them a reason to be scared of you. The main reason they attack anyone is because they feel they are in danger because of you.

If you don't approach them as being scared, approach them as if you will cause harm to them, they are actually quite peacful. I've held quite a few in the past to see which are the most calm and boa's are actually quite nice so long as you treat them the same.
