An odd 3.0 to 3.5 skin change question

Well, alot of the 3.0 skins I have, the only problem with them is that the avatars wont show when you post, but if I revert the postbit, it screws up the layout when you goto a post. How would I manage to stop that from happening?

I bought a layout without realizing the site was old and outdated, so all I got was some 3.0 skin
