Making a forum link to another page....
Hello all.
Here is what I have in mind but it seems I have not found a way to do it the way I want to. I have a forum called "Releases - Albums / Singles / DVDs / Demos" it is a subforum of the following forum: http://www.electrowave.gr/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=13 It contains CD reviews, etc. I have also created a new page at my site (Reviews Page) with a "Submit Review" link/button. This button is linked to the (create) "New Topic" link/button of the "Releases - Albums / Singles / DVDs / Demos" forum. http://www.electrowave.gr/index.php?page=reviews I intent to make the "Releases - Albums / Singles / DVDs / Demos" forum read-only for everyone except some users who will be able to write (submit a new review topic) by clicking at the abovementioned "Submit Review" link/button at the other page. But I want the users to be redirected to that page when they click on the "Releases / Reviews / Music CDs" forum link. I tried by putting the URL of that Page, in the Forum Link (Entering a URL here will cause anyone clicking the forum link to be redirected to that URL) field, in the admin CP. Everything works fine except when a user goes to that other Reviews page of my site and clicks on the "Submit Review" link/button, he cannot post a new Topic at that forum as he is also redirected to the other page Is there any other alternative way of making the Forum link (name) to redirect to my other page but still be able to create new Topic at that forum by having the "New Topic" link? thanx in advance |
