"Installed Hack" changed into "Download Hack"?

Yo,

I have a forum with a file sharing section. They use filehostages etc and post files.

I was wondering if it were able to make a hack similiar to vb.org install hack. So if people downloaded the file posted they can press download and the user will feel a seen of having archived something etc.

I don't want to use the reputation system since I only want to limit it to saying "thank you" for a download.
