skins not changing

I don't know if these is the forum to put it in, but I am going to try. I have 2 skins that i added to my forum. However, when I go down to the drop box to change the skin. It doesn't work 85% of the time. The other 15% it will, but it will only change the skin once. My default skin is default and I have the user option set to be able to change the skin design, but it doesn't even start the page refresh. It just sits there. Is there anything I should do? I hav enever ran into this problem before.
