Can you force a page refresh when submitting quick reply?

As you all know, with AJAX, when you submit a quick reply it just adds it to the page infront of you.

Is there anyway to get the screen to refresh when submitting a quick reply?

On our board we allow people to have a countdown timer in their signature field. However when submitting a quick reply this is not added to the post until the member refreshes the page themeselves, by refreshing the screen manually or exiting a re-entering the thread.

Any help appreciated.
