Prevent unregistered guests from viewing embedded images in threadview

I've yet to see one that will work on vB 3.5.x, however it has been done before for other older vB versions. There might be one out there now, but have tried two others that were written for 3.0.x and a more generic one for just any version with no luck. Can anyone point me in the right direction please?
