5) Uncommercial vbulletin hacks that integrate vbulletin into third party independent commercial software CAN be released in vbulletin.org provided that the hack thread is not created to promote the sales of the commercial product. (Independent scripts are the software that are able to run without needing vbulletin).
Note the bolded part.
Now that said there are many, many hacks already released that do not fully comply with this rule. In fact I removed two hacks the other day due to this rule only to restore them later after having a look around the hack forums. As I told these two members it would not be fair to punish them while allowing others to release such hacks here. There are only two courses of action at this point: Changing the rule, or 'cleaning house' and removing all of these hacks at once.
I lean towards the first option, because I think such hacks are a good resource and would rather see them here where more users can support them and create add-ons.
This will go to staff discussion, I'll make sure to let everyone know the outcome.
As for the vBSEO admin cp style, removing it was a mistake and we have corrected it. I hope you all can understand that we are not perfect and sometimes things like this happen. We always do our best to make sure things are right in the end, even if we stumble some along the way.
