Tournament System (Bracket System)

Would it be possible to make a system that uses like a bracket system. You create a thread and instead of choosing add poll you click add tourny [how many ppl]. and when a person sees the thread they can choose to join it, as each person joins it shows them on a bracket system where the poll would be. If this is well wanted you could even make it so that the thread creator or mod can click on a check box or what ever to change the status for the person that is in the turny lik [Still Waiting For Match] [Winner] [Loser].. Just an idea
