Default FlashChat Logs to forum

i've been looking at "Darren's $5 script site", where he has the "$5 flashChat" program.
People ahve already intergrated into vB quite nicely (so i've heard), but i'm now looking at pushing it to the next step.
For our sites, we were looking at running the IRC chat mod from here, but we want to be able to watch over what is spoken on the chat system, and we want it for other people's sake aswell.

This chat would only be available for members, not guests.
The reason i like the FlashChat over the Javascrpt ones, is because it installs faster on the end user machine, and easier to handle.

-----------
We had the IRC mod running for a few days for testing, but decided to drop it, as we would be:
a) losing members as they wouldn't see the need to signup;
b) lose the questions that would have been asked on the forum, now being asked on the IRC servers.

i want to be able to save all the chats as posts to a designated forum.

"forum name" (specifically for public chats)
|- sub-forum (for the chat room's names, i.e. "main", "help", "off topic", or user-made)

"forum name" (hidden - specifically for private chats)
|- sub-forum (hidden - for the private chat logs of people)
(the above forum would be set to only been seen by a super mod / admin )

Then, every 10 minutes, 30 minutes, hour, or day (should be set), an additional post to the first post (which also created the thread) will be made in the right sub-forum, with the next part of the chat log.

That way my users can search the chat logs for specific questions, and the admins can search the private chat logs (aswell).

what will need to be figured out is:
- does the chat store it's chat log for a pre-determined time
---- or will it need a 'bot'
---- can that bot be run on the server itself
- does the chat has the ability to output to the vBulletin forum
---- i.e. i will setup a $membername and a $permissionlevel for it to write to the forum
---- does the chat understand the different chat rooms, and save each seperately, AND accordingly
--------- i.e. > CREATE the first post for the 'standard public chat rooms'
>>>>>>>>> then update every $time and reply TO the same $id
>>>>>>>>> also CREATE & UPDATE sub-forum for the 'private chat room', (this will have it's own forum, due to $permission)

i hope i've explained that well enough, if not - i'll discuss this a bit more...

i personally think that EVERYONE using vB could use this & love this idea, and it will become quite popular.
