that's the old problem, stylechanges in cookies are not regarded by the stylechanges in usercp.
just usercp changes are listed in the postbit

as for the purple style, you are right, it uses the standard-header, and there is no explicit forum link, but as on all vb's a click on the logo does bring you to index
