Restoring MySQL Backups...
Basically, a few days ago, all of the data in my MySQL database went *poof*! I am not even thinking about starting fresh, and I have a backup ready to be restored.
I have not SSH/Telenet access, so that is eliminated, and of course phpMyAdmin doesn't work. The only other option I can find in front of me is the backup/restore hack found in the Beta hacks forum. The only problem is, it didn't restore it properly. I know that backup is complete, I even checked it. Really, I can only find two options: split up the backup and restore it via phpMyAdmin or wait for my host to restore it for me. Seperating it would take a while, and it'd be hard for me to do, but waiting for my host is the equivelant of hitting my head against a brick wall. Right now I am forced to run off an IBF backup board. I only made it today and I already miss vB. Any other suggestions on how to restore the database from my backup? I have ran out of ideas.... |
