Getting a users custom profile fields in lastposted

Hello,

I currently have two plugins in my vb 3.8.9. One of these allows a user to set two hex codes that will be used to create a gradient as their username via Custom Profile Fields. As shown here:

this is fine in the postbit, profile pages ect. as it uses musername.

I also have a plugin to show usergroup colours in the forumhome last posted section. As shown here:

Now what I want to be able to do is show the same gradient usernames on the lastposted, and if possible online users.

I am a confident PHP developer and I understand SQL. However I am very new to making vbulletin plugins.

Can anybody give me some advice on what needs to be done to do this? I can link you to the plugin for showing on forumhome if needed.
