4.1.0?!?!? No! Please install and run 4.2.2 PL4 instead. If your license is an older outdated vB3 one from long ago and that's the most current version you can download then I would not use it, I would instead upgrade your current non vb4/5 license or purchase a vB5 license and simply run 4.2.2 under that 5.x license.
In your config.php file which is found in /FOLDERYOUUPLOADEDVBULLETINTO/includes/config.php <-- You must edit that file and include the database name, the database username, and the database password.
Also who is your host? What is your MYSQL and PHP versions?
Hi, thanks so much for the response. I have a vB4 license and only randomly selected the 4.1.0 version in an attempt to test a slightly older version than the 4.2.2 I had previously tried to no success. I'm really not as informed about which versions are better as I'm a relative newcomer. I bought the license in 2011 and haven't done much with it until now. HostGator is my host. Where do I find the MySQL and PHP versions exactly?
I realized that there are two config.php files... one at forum/includes/config.php and one at forum/config.php. Should I have two of these? They seem identical otherwise.
