My odd project?second wierd idea

Folks-

I want to show the forum jump drop down on the forum home page (I know this sounds redundant) under certain conditions (its part of a responsive design). Just putting

HTML Code:

$forumjump

into the FORUMHOME template doesn't do it. What else do I need to change?
