Help with creating module
I have asked for help in the thread for the mod, but I am hoping by expanding my request I can find someone to help me. I am using vb 4.2.2 and vbAdvanced along with OzzModz Classifieds, which is great. But I really need to have a vba module to bring the latest listings onto my main pages to draw people in to look at them. As it stands, users only see the classifieds if they click on the menu tab for them. The few that are posted are getting no views, I need to draw users over there to get it going.
vba gives you the option of making a BB code, template or php module. I tried a template one and in the template I copied the contents of the mod's classifieds_rightside template since that is basically what I am trying to pull into the module. But it is not working, the module is blank. Obviously I am missing a piece of what I need to do, but I am at a loss as to what. I also use an articles mod for recipes and have a vba module for that which pulls the latest 5 recipes, so I tried to copy that module to work for classifieds, but it is php and when I look at the php file I have no idea what I should be changing. If I don't get this figured out soon, then I am going to lose anyone from using my classifieds section. I need this module to let people know they are there. I am also posting this request at the vba site. --------------- Added [DATE]1396105947[/DATE] at [TIME]1396105947[/TIME] --------------- I should mention, there are instructions for creating a forum side block or cms widget, I have just been unsuccessful at converting those into a vba module. |
