Facebook issues [SOLVED]

I am working on the Facebook platform in vB 4.2.2 and I have one issue, which perhaps, you can help me with.

I have set up an app, I have an app ID and a secret code and I have entered these correctly in my Facebook Options page in AdminCP. However, the FB Connect button, which appears in the header, doesn't do anything. It doesn't ask for an FB log in. Other functions, like for example the Like buttons in threads, do ask me for an FB log in, and they work correctly when I ask to share a thread in FB. I have downloaded the Facebook SDK from a web site (I do not remember the site's name, but it is the correct site, from where a lot of software is distributed) and I have uploaded the three files to /includes/facebook, no improvements. Any help?
