Splash page before download

Dear all,

I searched the forum but could not find any useful information.

I want to have a splash page before the user of the forum can download an attachment.

The reason is to place some advertising.

The user clicks on the link for the file in the thread, the splash screen appears, the user waits few seconds (hopefully clicks on the ad that should open in a different browser's window) and then the download start.
