[How to] Show if a user has posted in specific category

Hi friends.
I want all my members say "hello" the comunity. I want they cant post anything until they have a post in "Presentations" Forum... I think this is difficult automatecally, so, more easy is:
Show in their profiles new field that show yes/no depending on if they have a post in that section...

This is possible? Can you help me?
I have few php knowledge
