Screwed up Avatars!
Some time ago (before I even upgraded to 4.1.7) I wanted to prevent people from uploading pictures directly from their computer to a thread. (I'd rather have them host the picture on Photobucket or somewhere else)
So I changed some settings to prevent uploads and now the software will no longer allow anyone to upload avatars. Everyone that already had an avatar is fine-their's still shows. To try to fix this, I have set all the permissions I can find to Yes... In the Avatar Managar, I have permissions set to Yes. In the Usergroup Managar, under Registered Users, then "Picture Uploading Permissions" there is an option "Can Upload Custom Avatars". I have this set to Yes. I must have messed with some other setting because everything seems to be enabled to allow custom avatars. When I try to upload one, I get the error "Unable to Move/Copy File" Any suggestions?? PS...I know there is some note about the folder should be chmod 777. I know as much about chmod777 as I do about walking on the moon. Is there a way to check this? Or is this a server function? |
