Well, I meant that doing the substitution in the code is simple. You're right, getting users to enter their zip code is harder, but then, if they want their local weather they'll do it. BTW, I saw this done on a site, I didn't think it up myself.

I realize that the OP actually asked for something that would figure it out automatically, but I'd consider that difficult if not impossible, so I thiought this idea might be useful.
