Announcement Module

Im trying to implement an announcement module into my website. And i found one that i really like which allows you reply to an announcement with out using the forums. I think this is my understanding of the module. You can see what i am talking about at www.edgegamers.org. Each announcement seems to be its own module AND mini forum which i though was pretty neat. If you could tell me how this is done please let me know! Thanks
