Digg/Homepage/VBulletin integration

I would like something like the following.

A digg TYPE of system on the forum, using the simple "Thanks" modification a lot of us already use.

The only difference is, the highest thanked threads of a set time period would appear on a homepage and say the total number of thanks it has received next to it in a setup just like digg.com. Hopefully this would integrated with themes as well.

Anybody think there is a way to do this?
