Here is another idea that i had...is there a way, instead of banning a user, you can just remove his posting rights for X amount of days.

like there would be an option in the CP that would say "remove posting rights for _________"

The default would be 0 meaning that they could post and then anything else would not let them post for X days or until a certain date.
